Forest Walk at studio

Forest Walk

Please note: Due to bushfire damage our forest walk is being re-established and should be better than ever. However this will take some time so please be patient.

We are currently developing a forest walk in the grounds of our Studio. It starts off with an arbour and winds its way through the forests around our property. On the way we are developing gardens and various zen views with benches and seats to take in the tranquillity of our surrounds.

The forest creates a loverly shaded retreat during the hot summer months. However, mosquitoes also like the shaded spots so we are beginning to plant mosquitoe repellant plants to deter them

 Development stages

In its developing stages, any comments or ideas would be appreciated and taken into consideration in the forest walk’s development. This is an exciting project for us and we hope you can share in it also. For example recommending different plant species that suit the environment as well as being easy maintain.

Presently we are enjoying its beauty and we hope you can too.

Country Retreat with Wood Fire

Our accommodation at Lake Conjola on the South coast of NSW, provides a very comfortable country retreat in a secluded corner of Lake Conjola. The property is on 5 acres and is surrounded by national parks and local farms. A home away from the crowded city life and fast pace that goes with it.

The cottage is self contained with a well equipped kitchen. The cottage has been designed to make the most of Australia’s climatic conditions. The large open plan lounge area is heated by a wood fire providing a very cosy atmosphere during the winter months. In the Summer months we have the spacious cool verandahs to relax on, with grape vines providing a shady cover.

To lessen our footprint on the environment we have erected most of this cottage with recycle materials. In doing so, we believe it has added a great deal of character and charm to the building. A romantic country retreat so to speak. Not just a minimalistic concrete box seen so often today!

Nature and Wildlife Features

The surrounds of our country retreat  share the space with a large variety of wildlife and fauna. Since the bush fires trees and flora are re-establishing well and the Kangaroos are starting to graze around the cottage retreat. Many varieties of birds have also come back and can be seen from the verandhas.

Things to do

Narrawallee Creek studio provides 2 mountain bikes. We encourage people to take a leasurely ride through the national park nature reserve. It leads all the way down to local beaches and narrawallee creek. If riding is’nt your thing, take a 25 minute walk through the nature reserve to Buckley’s point. A beautiful rocky point plus amazing swimming beach.

Fishing and surfing our local lake and beaches is also a wonderful way to spend some time. Take  a short drive and visit the local vineyards for a wine tasting session.

For a relaxing break or holiday our country retreat provides the ideal accommodation.

Winter around the corner Lake Conjola is a great place to chill out and relax. Put your feet up, read a book around the fire with a glass of good wine (heaven).

We hope you can visit soon.
